Himachla Shiksha Samiti established the school in 1988–1989 in a rented structure in the village of Anji (Vikasnagar). The property for the school’s development was purchased in 1992, and work on it officially began in 1993.

Prior to 2003, the school was a member of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in Dharamshala. Since then, it has been a member of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C B S E). The school’s 66 roomy classrooms can house all classes from Nursery through 10+2. There are therefore fully functional labs, smart classrooms, a library, and a reading area. The school also features a sizable computer lab and teacher staff rooms. According to CBSE norms, each class in the 10+2 (Science Stream) programme has four laboratories.
