Counseling Form

The late Reverend Eliyah Thsetsan Phuntsog of the Moravian Church in Ladakh created the Moravian Institute in 1963. (Jammu & Kashmir State). He met some of the Tibetan Refugees who had recently fled from their homeland over the Himalayas while he was working on the revision of the New Testament in Tibetan for the Bible Society of India in the Dehra Dun District. With financial assistance from the Moravian church, Rev. Phuntsog established an adult literacy programme and a day school at the request of these Tibetan refugees. The number of kids applying to the school kept rising in spite of contrary expectations. This, coupled with the continued poverty of the Tibetan refugees in general, compelled Rev.
