The Doon School is a fully residential boys’ school on Mall Road in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Founded in 1935 by Satish Ranjan Das, it occupies a 70-acre campus known as Chandbagh. The school provides education from Classes VII to XII, with admission at Class VII or Class VIII.
Classes VII and VIII follow The Doon School Curriculum. Students in Classes IX and X prepare for ICSE, while Classes XI and XII offer ISC or the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Tutors support students’ academic and pastoral development, alongside the school’s house staff.

The school is fully residential. Five main houses—Tata, Oberoi, Hyderabad, Kashmir and Jaipur—are supported by Foot and Martyn holding houses for new D Form students. Housemasters, Assistant Housemasters, tutors, Dames and support staff provide pastoral care. House facilities include common rooms, computer rooms, recreational spaces and gardens.
Classes VII and VIII follow The Doon School Curriculum, Classes IX and X prepare for ICSE, and Classes XI and XII offer ISC or the IB Diploma. Students receive support from tutors. Academic facilities include science and Design and Technology laboratories, a Robotics and AI Maker Space and the Kilachand Library.
The school offers physical education and sports including athletics, cricket, football, hockey, squash, swimming, shooting, tennis and basketball. Its sports complex includes a heated pool, gymnasium, indoor badminton and squash courts, cricket nets, futsal, tennis and padel courts, and floodlit basketball facilities. Music, drama, art and other activities form part of school life.

Fees for AY 2026–27
For Indian residents, annual school fees are ₹14,54,000 for DSC, ICSE or ISC, and ₹16,54,000 for the IB Diploma. Annual imprest advance is ₹50,000. At admission, a non-refundable fee of ₹5,00,000 and a refundable security deposit of ₹7,00,000 are additional. NRI school fees are ₹18,17,500 for DSC, ICSE or ISC and ₹20,17,500 for IB; NRI admission fee and refundable deposit are ₹9,08,750 each.
