The G. D. Goenka Group, which was founded in 1982 and has a wide range of interests in Real Estate, Travel & Tourism, and Exports, has been at the forefront of innovative education, tenaciously creating a brand of education that stands for quality and excellence both in India and beyond. To honour the memory of the late Smt. Gayatri Devi Goenka, mother of the chairman, Mr. A. K. Goenka, it made its first step into innovative education in 1994. The G. D. Goenka Public School in Vasant Kunj, which had only 23 students in its initial year at the original school, now supports the academic lives of nearly 2500 children. The school takes pride in having established numerous firsts, including being the first school with central air conditioning to provide the most cutting-edge gym with Life Fitness equipment.
