IGCSE Boarding School in India

Here we have provided the List of  IGCSE Boarding School in india with the academics, sports, and residential facilities provided by them

IGCSE Boarding School

Guardians give a ton of thought and time while they select a school for their kids. It is difficult for any parent to live in harmony when their youngster is away from them. But sometimes, it becomes important for them to do exactly that for their child’s development. With an explosion in the number of schools and a wider choice of Indian and international curriculum available, the task of finding the best school offering the IGCSE board is tougher than ever. A residential school that is affiliated to the IGCSE board that aims to provide an opportunity to students at all levels, inculcate in them discipline for the rest of their lives. They cultivate a cultural environment for students to adapt to diversity.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) was developed by Cambridge International Examination (CIE) in 1988 and it is offered by over 400 international schools in India.

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations are the world’s most popular international qualifications conducted after the Class 10 level. The IGCSE prepares students for further academic study, including progression to A/AS Level, Cambridge Pre-U, BTEC Level 3, IB Diploma Programme and other equivalents. Cambridge IGCSEs offer more than 70 subjects and are studied in over 120 countries worldwide with more than 200 Indian schools also affiliated to the program.

IGCSE appraisal is led by two United Kingdom evaluation bodies:

  • Edexcel (also known as London Examinations) and
  • Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)

Differences between IB and IGSE

The biggest difference is that IGCSE is granted at class 10 level while IB is granted at Class 12 level. Therefore, students with IGCSE have the option of going for IB certification after the Class 10 level. Apart from IB, students, Post IGCSE can also opt for other equivalent certifications like CIE A/AS Level, Cambridge Pre-U, BTEC Level 3, etc.

The IB MYP is a framework and offers no formal examinations while IGCSE is curriculum-based and students need to pass an external examination. IB schools are free to develop their curriculum while IGCSE has a curriculum that a school must cover. Therefore, the IB program is much more demanding on the teacher’s ability to design the program. That’s also the reason that many schools while they offer Class XII IB certification may not offer MYP and PYP.

Profile Subjects and Electives in IGCSE

They are proud to be able to offer a wide range of electives within everything from sports to music to create languages etc. and pride themselves in being open for everyone who has an interest in these electives regardless of their starting level. They have Profile Subjects that include Media, Football, Dance, and Badminton which we teach at the highest level with some of the best coaches. The sports electives, in general, are strengthened by the cooperation of different schools and are therefore also able to offer unique facilities with sport halls a huge tumbling center, a spinning studio, fitness facilities and football pitches that few other international schools are able to match that unrivaled number one in international school boards in this field and the facilities are available for everyone in their free time but are so much more than sports and there is room for everyone.

When it comes to international and boarding schools in India, the country has no shortage of quality supplies and contains plenty of exploration options in the field of education. There are a lot of IGCSE board schools in India but the term “best” is subjective and is up to you and your parameters and constraints such as :

With a number of choices, it becomes difficult for parents which exactly will prove fruitful for their kids. With the analysis done it is found that IGCSE schools in India are more trending among Parents as compared to CBSE and ICSE Board schools for their kids to send. The code of conduct these Schools is really impressive. Global Baccalaureate (IB) courses underscore the autonomous learning process. The procedure is woven into all IB programs. Beginning with the IB Primary Years Program (PYP), students are gradually urged to create independence in learning. They are asked to discover the relationship between subjects and focuses. The IB Diploma Program (DP) puts a more noteworthy obligation on the students, by the method for the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course. TOK causes them to grasp the complexities of learning itself.

In a school instructive module, the path toward adjusting ought to be given comparable or more important than the substance of what is being told. Children ought to be instructed and understand to make sense of what they are learning and how will it benefit them in the long run. Within all cases availability of learning resources on the web, this ends up being extensively increasingly essential to our conditions.
